Do you see clients whose fertility journey feels harder than it should be?

Iron deficiency doesn’t just cause tiredness — it can disrupt ovulation, contribute to anovulatory cycles, and compromise early embryonic development. With up to one in three women of reproductive age experiencing low iron, this is a crucial gap in fertility care.

Dietitians have a powerful role in identifying and correcting iron issues early, improving the path to a healthy pregnancy.

Recognise the Hidden Signs

Learn how iron deficiency can present beyond anaemia - including subclinical deficiency, unexplained infertility, cycle disruption, fatigue, and poor embryo quality - and how to differentiate these from other common fertility challenges.

Understand Iron’s Role in Reproductive Physiology

Explore the essential role of iron in ovulation, implantation, placental development, energy metabolism, thyroid function, and early pregnancy - and why both deficiency and excess matter in fertility care.

Implement Evidence-Based Strategies

Gain practical, research-informed approaches to assessing iron status, interpreting key biomarkers, and applying targeted nutrition and supplementation strategies safely and effectively in preconception and early pregnancy care.

What You’ll Learn

In this free expert-led webinar you’ll gain the tools and confidence to support women navigating dietitian-based care.

In this webinar, you’ll discover:

  • Understand the physiological role of iron in ovulation, implantation, early placental development, and overall reproductive function.
  • Identify the symptoms, risk factors, and clinical indicators of iron deficiency -  including subclinical presentations relevant to fertility.
  • Learn key investigations for assessing iron status and interpret results in preconception care.

About the Webinar

Do you see clients whose fertility journey feels harder than it should be — despite “normal” test results?

Iron deficiency is often overlooked unless anaemia is present, yet even suboptimal iron status can disrupt ovulation, impair implantation, and compromise early placental development.

In this free, expert-led webinar, you’ll explore the critical - and frequently underestimated - role of iron across fertility, ovulation, and early pregnancy. We’ll move beyond haemoglobin to unpack how iron status influences energy availability, thyroid function, menstrual regularity, and reproductive outcomes.

Designed for dietitians and other healthcare professionals, this session will equip you with practical, evidence-based strategies to identify iron-related red flags earlier, interpret iron markers with confidence, and apply targeted nutrition interventions in preconception and early pregnancy care.

Join Beth Ferguson, MS, RDN, IBCLC, alongside host Melanie McGrice, Adv APD, for a clinically relevant deep dive that will change the way you assess and manage iron in reproductive nutrition practice.

About the webinar:

Do you work with or care for women experiencing irregular cycles, infertility, or early menopause? Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) affects up to 3.5% of women under 40 and can have profound effects on reproductive, cardiovascular, bone, and mental health.

Whether you’re a dietitian, healthcare professional, or supporting women personally, understanding how to recognise and manage POI is absolutely critical.

Join us for this free, expert-led webinar with Dr James Brown, reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist. Dr Brown will share the latest evidence on how to identify, investigate, and manage POI, while highlighting the essential role of dietitians and allied health professionals in providing holistic care.

You’ll gain evidence-based strategies to support women with POI, from recognising symptoms and interpreting hormone tests to counselling on fertility, bone health, and long-term wellbeing.
